Bienvenida Honey!

In less than 7hours, me and Jett will be seeing his Dad again. That is after 3 months of working miles away from us. Well, technically, he's been flying to and from Bangla for more than a year now, with 2 weeks vacation every three months. He is an Engineer Consultant to Motorola operating in Bangladesh.

Oh well, what can we do, money is really overseas. Thanks to red tape, corruption, and political bickering that the best human resources this country have are fleeing away from their own land. Sacrificing the pleasure of seeing their offsprings grow right to their eyes. Sigh, I don't wanna spoil my day, okay =).

Anyway, can't hide the fuss, I woke up extra early today. There is something different this time, that is why. It is only me and my son who will fetch his Dad to the airport. No nanny, coz you know, nanny is still on a vacat ion right now. It is gonna be the first time that we will travel alone, and first time that we will go get Honey direct from here (Marilao) to the airport, just the two of us. Well, Jett is a more manageable toddler now as compared before. He listens to her Mom, whenever I say, stay seated and buckle up. He sits in front passenger seat.

Honey is now in Bangkok. He left Chittagong (central Bangladesh) yesterday, to Bangkok where he spent overnight, and fly to Manila this noon.

Okidoki, gonna go now. I still have to ready our stuffs for our two days stay in Caloocan, to my in-laws, where we will be heading right from the airport.

Ciao!

My Weekend Ramblings

It wasn't a fine weekend for us. I needed to bring Jett to his Pedia last Saturday. He spewed his food for three consecutive nights since Thursday to Saturday. The doctor then, found out that his throat is reddish, which undrive him to eat and lost appetite for days. And a URINALYSIS divulge that my son also has a UTI. His sucker for playing and watching videos brushed off his call to pee.

Thank GOD, he is now I think getting better. His appetite is recovering, and no throw-ups since yesterday. The doctor noted to give him Augmentin, an antibacterial suspension, to take-up for a week, and that really of huge help for Jett, to get well sooner.

I don't know, it is becoming a series that everytime his Dad is nearing home, there would always an instance of non-scheduled visit to his Pedia. Coincidence, or just the weather? I really don't know. My husband is now weary whenever he is coming home that Jett will get sick again.

Oh well, I am relieved that Jett is okay now. We'll be back to his doctor on Saturday for another test and check-up. I hope we can still make it on Boracay while Honey is still here for a work break.

On a lighter note. I bought this bag two days ago. After St. Lukes, we passed by SM to buy snack as pasalubong. While waiting for my take-out pizza from Pizza hut. I tiptoed my way to Guess store. They are on a month long sale. But, like the usual, I still ended up buying a non-red-tag bag (sigh!). It is so lovely! Can't resist!

Which is Which in BORACAY?!

Alright, the "big picture" is definitely there, we will be heading to BORACAY as hubby came home in exactly a week from now (Oh my gosh, I'm so excited!!!). But the plans, reside to be a picture, unless we actualize them, first, by booking the airline and the hotel. That until to this very moment, none as in zero, has yet to be done. Oh well, it is a lean season, so I think we have all the Boracay hotels waiting for us, hehehe.

Anyway, I'll be needing the help of you people to let me decide where to stay in Boracay since it is gonna be our first time. I've been probing the web for sometime, what are the best places and best reviews to room in Boracay.

Here is my short list:

1. Boracay Regency
2. Fridays Boracay
3. Seraph Hotel
4. The Panoly Resort Hotel

And, after online inquiries and enlightenment, it boils down to a shorter short list:

1. Boracay Regency
2. Fridays Boracay

Okay, this is where I stopped. I still have to beat the red light for Cebu Pacific's on-line booking promo, which is only until today, wheh! Pressure! =)

Horse-Like Hair

I started using this shampoo for I think, more than a month now.

The thought of switching from my ex-brand Finesse (the shampoo brand that I used since time immemorial), stems from good feedback I heard and read from people whose been using Mane 'n Tail product, including our local celebrities. Thanks to those glossy magazine I read every week, hehe.

If my memory serves me right, this product made a big fuss on its start coz it is basically developed for horses' hair. Not only that, it is now being use not only for humans but for cats and dogs as well.

For me, well I can never say that I have a crowning, crowning glory. But I feel and look at my hair better now. It feels fuller, and true enough for me, healthier. And I would also opt to try its deep moisturizing conditioner, right after I empty my Finesse bottle.

I think, on my end, it is also much important that we have our hair treated at least once a month. Cellophane, hot-oil, reborn, whatever it may be. Coz our hair also deserves those pampering our face, body and feet, acquire.

A Date With Myself

I delighted myself to a movie. But not on a movie house, coz first, It was 1:30 in the morning, second, I can't go on a movie house alone, and third, I don't wanna go to a movie house alone, just to make things complex, I mean clear, haha!

Rather, I stayed in the comfort of my own bed, enjoying the luxury of deafening silence of early dawn, my son succumbed to dreamland, nobody is awake, just too perfect to watch a movie. The only time in 24hours I can call my own. I picked The Devil Wears Prada among my DVDs on que to be watched.

That was the 'nth time I treated myself a movie watch. Moreover, I also learned to do the groceries alone, go to my dentist alone, shopping by myself, bring our son to pedia/dentist with a nanny, and plenty more else tasking them solo mio. Okay, knock it off right there Joan! I know what it is called, MELANCHOLIA ATTACK! Red alert! Red alert! Hahaha! Nah, I'm just missing my husband :).

Alright, back to the movie. The Devil Wears Prada is a best-selling novel about a young woman who stumbles into the hectic worlds of high fashion and publishing, and was given life by Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep into the big screen. Definitely a fashion movie which takes place in the world of haute couture. I love Hathaway performing the role, she is one of the best-dressed hollywood young stars of our time, I believe. She is so funny. Not to mention Stanley Tucci as the Runway art director who presents a homosexual man. Tucci is always a well-judged actor in every character he embodies, 5-star for him. And of course, the best performance comes from Streep. She was the high-powered editor of Runway. Her all the time blank yet poised expression is the blast of the movie I think. Certainly she was referred to as the devil who was wearing Prada, haha. To sum, it is a lightweight comic movie. If you're a Sex and the City fanatic, Manolo Blahniks dreamer, and a fashion buff on top, well this movie is a must-see for you.

Let me cap-off this writing, by my favorite line delivered by Meryl Streep ...

"That's all!"

Called It a Day "Sick"

Three sleeps ago was a not-so-good-day for me. I woke up in the wee hours of the morning coz my head was spinning. No, t'was the things around me that were literally spinning as I saw them. My gosh, seems like an earthquake. I sat down and was trying to pull myself back together thinking it was just a daydream. When I thought I was okay, I lazed down to re-hibernate but I threw up instead. And I vomit several times until the sun was up.

The culprit? Well, we attended a party on that day, from Caloocan, where we came from (visit in-laws) to SM Manila, where the party was, and then I dropped my friend Venus to their house in Sta. Mesa, SM Marilao after, and finally home (Marilao). It was a strenuous and long day.

Aside from that, I wasn't eating right the past months. Like, I eat rice for breakfast, skip lunch, mid-afternoon snack, then soup only early evening (I have not much of an appetite since Honey was away, huhuhu). I mean, that is an effective weight shed off, but on a long drive??? Very unacceptable.

My body was on dire need of a complete rest and no sudden movements, so I stayed in bed with proper and on time food intake. But of course, I still managed to take care of my son's daily routine like meals, snack, bath, nap, and sleep time. Well, I have to, hehe. I just can't afford to delegate those tasks to others.

For now, I definitely resurfaced in good spirit. In fact, I already hit the road yesterday for my son's medical and dental check-up (without lunch still, hahaha!). It was a rainy day yesterday.

On a different note, nanny was on a vacation for one month since today. I'll be needing a make-shift yaya for a while. Especially now that Hubby is coming home soon.

Have a healthy Tuesday!
